SiteMatch version 2.47
----------------------

Installation
============

Starting from scratch
---------------------

If you are a new user, simply drag the application from the archive into a suitable
directory on your hard drive. The Internet directory would be a good choice.

Double-click on the application to install it on the icon bar. The main window will
open automatically.

Click Menu on the icon bar icon and select Configure... You can now set the maximum
number of sites you wish to handle and the maximum number of objects (files and
directories) in any one site. You may need to find the optimum WimpSlot size by trial
and error, but if you set a value that is too low for SiteMatch to run at all it will
give you an error message. Save the new values.

Now click Menu over the main window and choose the 'Add new site...' option. See the
!Help file if you need any guidance.

Upgrading fron an earler version
--------------------------------

If you are upgrading from version 2.37 or earlier please see ReadMe2 in this archive.

Otherwise it is safe to drag !SiteMatch from the archive over your existing version.
You should have the 'Newer' filer option set.

All installations
-----------------

You can use the Config... option on the icon bar menu to edit the configuration, but
you should do this before doing a Compare on a site that would exceed the existing
limits.

You may need to reset and resave your choices. Check that your sites can be selected
and displayed correctly.

If you were using a custom FTP command ("Use FTP://") this is not available from
version 2.44 and your saved string may appear in the FS destination field. If you
need the custom FTP command please tell me.

See the !Help file in the application (or use the Help... option on the icon bar
menu) for guidance on adding sites and using the program.

Interactive Help
----------------

If you do not require interactive help you can edit line 2 of the !RunImage file to
change "HelpLib" to "NoHelpLib". This saves about 10k bytes of runtime memory. If
you wish to use interactive help just run the !Help task which usually resides in
Resources:$.Apps ("Apps" on the Icon bar).

Feedback, suggestions and bug reports are welcome. If something is not quite right
please tell me!
