SiteMatch version 2.45
----------------------

This file only applies if you are upgrading from version 2.37 or earlier.

Upgrading fron an earler version
--------------------------------

If you are using version 2.21 or earlier then it is easier to start from scratch,
although instructions are given in earlier versions of the ReadMe file.

Before upgrading, you should synchronise all your sites using your existing version
of SiteMatch and then make a back-up copy of the application.

You can upgrade your existing application in-situ or move it to a place where it
won't be seen by the filer before installing the new version complete.

You should make a note of the WimpSlot size in the !Run file (or a file called WimpSlot
if it's not in the !Run file) of your current configuration as you may need to edit that
value in the new WimpSlot file (see below).

If you do not have a 'config' file inside the application or in the Choices directory
make a note of the "max_files%" value near the top of the !RunImage file. This, and the
number of sites you wish to handle should be set in the new 'config' file. Recent
versions allow you to set the configuration via the icon bar menu as described in the
Help file.

- Update in situ
  --------------

Stamp your WimpSlot and config files if they exist in the application so that they
don't get overwritten (you need to have the "Newer" filer option set). If these files
are also in the choices directory you don't need to worry as they won't be overwritten.

Move your sites directory from the application to your Choices:SiteMatch directory. You
can replicate this for multiple users, after which the different users' sites can diverge
but only one user should update any one site.

Drag the new application over the existing application or into the same parent
directory.

The 'DrWimp' library file can be deleted as the DrWimp routines are consolidated
new into the !RunImage file.

Delete the files clients.FTPc2, clients.sFTP, the 'DrWimp' library and the directory
'script' if they still exist. There is a new FTPc client with version 2.42.

All installations
-----------------

You may need to edit the 'config' file inside the application if you are maintaining
more than 20 sites or any site containing more than 1,000 objects. You may also need to
adjust the WimpSlot value in the WimpSlot file if you get 'No room' or 'Too many nested
procedures' errors. However you should find that it can be about a third of the value
needed for version 1.13 with the same sites.

You can use the Config... option on the icon bar menu to edit the configuration, but
you should do this before doing a Compare on a site that would exceed the existing
limits.

From version 2.36 the config and WimpSlot files are saved in Choices:SiteMatch. If the
Choices:SiteMatch directory has not been created or if the config and WimpSlot files
are not in it they will be read from the application directory.

You may need to reset and resave your choices. Check that your sites can be selected
and displayed correctly.

See the !Help file in the application (or use the Help... option on the icon bar
menu) for guidance on adding sites and using the program.

Version 2.37 does not include the case insensitive option. If you had used this
option the site name may be prefixed by an asterisk. You can use Edit this site... to
remove the asterisk. It will do no harm if left in.

Version 2.38 appends additional information to the site name line on the site list. This
necessary to maintain forward compatibility. If you subsequently revert to an earlier
version you will see this information (e.g. "/client=FTPc/chmod=755") after the site
name. It will not be used but will not do any harm.

See the ReadMe file for selecting interactive help.
